Branch-O’Keefe installs the exclusive AV&V manganese bronze valve guides. Unlike early silicon bronze guides wrought with problems, the newer AV&V pieces offers the finest in valve guide technology available today. The main benefit is a tapered self-centering area for easier installation. Many procedures required with other brands of guides are eliminated, such as chamfering after reaming or honing. Machining to fit particular application is no longer necessary due to application specific guides. A redesigned valve seal area ensures that seals are installed properly in every situation. Each AV&V valve guide is fit with a high-temp Viton o-ring to prevent oil from passing between the guide and the head.
